| Miscellaneous | -- Section Quercus. -- All characters are intermediate between the parents. -- For Trelease it is a hybrid between Q. alba and Q. stellata (therfore a synonym of Q. x fernowii), stating that Q. montana is confined to the rocky slopes and cliffs while Q. x bernardensis was found in a strip of lowlands; moreover Q. montana is not mentioned as common in the vicinity of Q. x bernardensis. |
