12-16 cm long, 3-6 cm wide; leathery; oval to oval-elliptic; long acuminate at apex; base oblique and rounded; dark, lustrous and glabrous above; silvery stellate tomentose beneath; margin denticulate at the end of the 9-14 pairs of secondary veins; midrib and secondary veins flat adaxially; tertiary veins inconspicuous on both sides; petiole 1-2 cm long, at first tomentose then becoming glabrous; bronze when young;

Fruits acorn mucronate, broadly ovoid or subglobose, 0.8-1.5 cm in diameter; solitary; densely, golden yellow hairy; sessile or on a short peduncle; enclosed for 1/2 in cupule 0.5-0.7 cm long, 1-1.6 cm in diameter, 2 mm thick, with 6-7(-9) concentric rings yellow hairy; rippening in 2 years;
