Fruits acorn ellipsoid to cylindrical-ellipsoid, 6-6.5 cm long (cup included), pointed at apex, with a hairy, 4 mm long stylopodium; solitary or paired; sessile on a terminal or axillary, erect, 8-10 mm long, glabrous rachis; cup bowl-shaped 1.3-1.7 cm high, 1.9-2.1 cm wide, enclosing1/5 of acorn, hairless or tomentose outside, densely hairy inside; cup-scales in 7-8 concentric rings with entire margin; basal scar 9-10 mm in diameter, convex;
