bud ellipsoid, 9 mm long, 4 mm in diameter, with imbricate scales in 4-5 rows, oval-triangular, with obtuse apex and ciliate margin, both sides covered with whitish to yellowish-brown hairs; mature twig hairless, lenticellate; stipules linear-lanceolate, 10-14 mm long, hairless on internal face, pubescent on external one;
