Leaves 9-25 x 4-16 cm; deciduous; leathery; oboval to oblanceolate, sometimes elliptic; apex rounded or blunt; base narrowed, rounded or sometimes cordate; young leaves pinkish-yellow tomentose; mature leaves adaxially green, lustrous, hairless or with some stellate hairs along midrib and at the base of the blade; abaxially with persistent, dense, whitish tomentum made of fasciate and glandular hairs, except on primary veins; margin not revolute, wavy, sinuate-dentate, with 7-13 pairs of short mucronate teeth. 10-16 vein pairs, prominent beneath; petiole 4-15 mm long, glabrescent.
